Rosemary Kane started Ballyhenry House Bed & Breakfast in 1987, set on a 350 acre working cereal farm
in the beautiful Roe Valley. The Farm is managed by Boyd and Michael Kane, Rosemary's sons. Following Rosemary's retirement in Spring 2007, Michael continues to run the family business, offering the same warm welcome and authentic experience enjoyed by guests who have been staying at
Ballyhenry House over the past 20 years.
The house was built in 1898 and has been home to several generations of the Kane family ever since.
Michael was busy in 2006 renovating Ballyhenry
House, sympathetically restoring some of the
original features such as the cornicing in the
Drawing room, Dining room and Sunroom, restoring
the original woodwork, staircase and original
marble fireplace, and adding some modern
luxuries such as the natural travertine
limestone ensuite bathrooms to each of the 4 bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 family
room, opening onto a veranda with great views of the garden, orchard and the breathtaking Binevenagh
Mountain range.
