Ballyhenry House was built in 1898 and has been home to several generations of the Kane family ever since.
Rosemary Kane started the Bed & Breakfast in 1987, with the farm being managed by her sons, Boyd and Michael Kane.
Following Rosemary's retirement in Spring 2007, Michael took on the running of the family business, offering the same warm welcome and authentic experience enjoyed by guests who have been staying at Ballyhenry House over the past 20 years.
In 2006, Michael completed renovations in keeping with the Georgian style, sympathetically restoring many of the original features. This included restoring the cornicing in the Drawing room, Dining room and Sun room, the original woodwork, including the staircase, and the original marble fireplace.
He also added some modern luxuries such as natural travertine limestone ensuite bathrooms to each of the 4 guest bedrooms.
There are farm walks and nature trails on site, with signed, paved and safe paths provided for walking and biking around the farm.
